The design of the Nicola Sexton Collection takes place at the company’s headquarters in Suffolk, but the all-important manufacture takes place between two factories in Italy. Both family run businesses of three generations.
Fucecchio, set in the beautiful countryside of Florence, is home to one factory who have been manufacturing ladies’ shoes since 1945. Behind it, a beautiful story of a shoe worker in his youth, and his wife an expert stitcher, deciding to make shoes for themselves; now in its third generation providing production worldwide.
Home for the second factory is Trani, on the Adriatic Sea in southern Italy. A similar story demonstrating their love and dedication to the footwear industry, founded in 1930 – again is in its third generation of craftsmen.
Production from both factories emanates from the philosophy of using the very best raw materials of Italian origin being, the careful selection of leathers used for the upper and the use of genuine leather products for linings, soles and the heels, (unless otherwise stated).
All stages of manufacture from the choice of leather, fabrics and accessories, (including crystals from Swarovski), from cutting to ironing and finishing, up to and including the final packaging, are followed with precise care.
Accuracy and refinement of the shoe is what our customers recognise: which makes our hand-crafted shoes so appreciated by our customers
